- Interactive table map, orders sent straight to kitchen and bar
- Kitchen display (KDS) on any screen, plus voice ordering

- Guests paying the bill from their phone through your own Stripe account

- Reservations, no-show deposit and unlimited walk-in waitlist
- Online gift cards and a digital loyalty card
- Takeaway, push notifications and menu translation
The honest limits
This is what Free does not give you, so you can decide before you sign up.
- Up to 100 orders every 7 days, counted on a rolling window. Above that, new orders are paused with an upgrade prompt: nothing is deleted, and orders resume as the oldest ones leave the window.
- One location. Multiple locations are a Pro feature.
- The best-selling dishes leaderboard is on Starter; menu engineering (margin per dish) and fiscal receipts (Italy only) are on Pro.
- Email support (24–48h); priority support is on Pro.
- Bills paid from the guest's phone carry a 0.5% fee per bill (minimum 0.20) on every plan, plus Stripe's card fees. Optional: you can keep taking payment at your own register.
- GrazieChef is not a fiscal cash register and not a card terminal: keep the ones you have. It also needs an internet connection.
Other free options: Loyverse and SumUp POS
They are not the only free tools for restaurants. A short, cautious comparison: different tools for different ways of working.
Loyverse POS
A free point-of-sale app for iPhone, iPad and Android, built mostly around counter service: cafés, bars, bakeries, shops. Some features, such as employee management and advanced inventory, are paid add-ons. If you sell at the counter it is a solid choice; GrazieChef is built for table service, with the table map, kitchen and staff included at no extra cost.
Full comparison →SumUp POS
SumUp's point of sale is tied to its own card readers and earns from card transaction fees. Plans and features vary by country, and table-service features may require a paid plan. A good fit if you want payments, register and hardware from one supplier; GrazieChef works on the phones and tablets you already own, next to the card reader you already use.

Questions about the free plan
Is GrazieChef really free?
Yes. The Free plan has no expiry date and no setup fee. It includes tables, kitchen display, QR ordering, reservations, statistics and unlimited staff, up to 100 orders every 7 days.
What happens when I reach 100 orders in 7 days?
New orders are paused and you see an invitation to upgrade. No data is deleted, and orders start again as the oldest ones leave the 7-day window. Starter and Pro have unlimited orders.
Do I need a credit card to start?
No. Every new restaurant gets 14 days of Pro without a card. When the trial ends you go back to Free automatically and nothing is charged.
Do I need to buy hardware?
No. GrazieChef runs in the browser on Android, iPhone, iPad and computers and can be installed like an app. Any screen can be the kitchen display.
Does it replace my cash register?
No. GrazieChef is not a fiscal cash register: it handles tables, orders, kitchen and the bill. In Italy, the Pro plan can send the receipt to your RT register (Epson, RCH, Custom) or issue it online with Effatta; elsewhere it prints a pre-bill and your certified register issues the receipt.
How does GrazieChef make money if Free is free?
From the paid Starter and Pro plans, for restaurants that need unlimited orders or advanced features, and from a 0.5% fee (minimum 0.20) on bills that guests choose to pay from their phone.
